The Proposals

Having been part of Digbeth for a number of years, Oval, as a local landowner, is keen to continue supporting the area’s future in a way that builds on its strong identity as one of Birmingham’s most creative neighbourhoods.

The plans are currently at a very early stage, but we know that we would like to include:

  • New homes, including affordable homes
  • Flexible ground floor space and shops, cafes and creative uses
  • Improvements to streets and public spaces
  • Better connections throughout Digbeth, including routes around the Duddleston Viaduct

A second public consultation will take place later in 2026, providing an opportunity to review the updated plans. All feedback received will be reviewed and summarised as part of the future planning application when it is submitted to Birmingham City Council.
